Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 25, 2026 · Applies Worldwide
At PrintMatch, your privacy is taken seriously. This policy explains clearly and completely what data is collected, how it is used, and what rights you have — whether you are in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Brazil, or anywhere else in the world.
1. Who We Are
PrintMatch is operated by Blue_Speed, an individual 3D printing enthusiast. This is a personal project, not a corporation. Contact: Discord @fireandspeed.
2. What Data We Collect
We do not collect personal data by default. The quiz, browse, compare, and filament tools all run entirely in your browser. Your answers never leave your device and are never sent to any server.
Cloudflare Analytics — We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used (e.g. page views, country of visit, device type). This data is aggregated and anonymised. No cookies are set by Cloudflare Analytics and no personally identifiable information is collected. Cloudflare is GDPR-compliant and does not build advertising profiles.
Google Analytics (GA4) — We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visitor behaviour, traffic sources, and site performance. Google Analytics collects data such as pages visited, time on site, device type, approximate location (country/city level), and how you arrived at the site. This data is associated with a randomly assigned analytics ID, not your name or email. Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
Printer Suggestion Form — If you submit a printer suggestion, the form collects only the printer details you provide (name, brand, specs). No email address or personal information is requested or required. Submissions are reviewed manually and then deleted.
3. Share Links
When you use the "Copy Share Link" button after completing the quiz, PrintMatch generates a URL that encodes your quiz answers in the link itself (in the part after the # symbol, called the URL hash). This data is stored entirely within the link — it is never sent to any PrintMatch server, database, or third party. No personal information is included in the link. It contains only your quiz answers (budget range, preferences, use case, etc.) in an encoded format.
When someone opens a share link, their browser reads the hash directly and reconstructs your results locally. At no point does any server process or store this information. The share link is entirely self-contained and can be deleted simply by not sharing it.
Please be aware that if you share your link publicly, anyone with it can see your quiz answers. If you share it with third-party services (e.g. posting it on a website), those services may log the URL. PrintMatch has no control over what third parties do with URLs you choose to share.
4. Adsterra
PrintMatch uses Adsterra to display advertisements. Adsterra is a third-party advertising network that may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to show you relevant ads based on your browsing activity. This is controlled by Adsterra, not by PrintMatch.
Adsterra may use a service worker (sw.js) on this site to help deliver ads. This service worker does not collect or store any personal information on behalf of PrintMatch.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info or through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
5. Google Search Console
PrintMatch uses Google Search Console to monitor search performance, indexing status, and site health. Google Search Console collects data about how your site appears in Google Search results, including search queries, impressions, clicks, and crawl errors. This data is aggregate and tied to the site, not to individual users. No personal information about visitors is collected through Google Search Console. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Affiliate Links
Some product links on PrintMatch are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, PrintMatch may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer you visit may independently track your click and purchase according to their own privacy policy. PrintMatch does not receive any personal data from this process.
7. Cookies
PrintMatch itself does not set any first-party cookies. Third-party cookies may be set by Google Analytics 4 to track sessions and user behaviour, and by Adsterra for advertising purposes. Cloudflare Analytics does not use cookies. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings at any time, or use the Google Analytics opt-out tool linked in Section 2.
8. Your Rights — Everyone, Everywhere
PrintMatch believes privacy rights belong to everyone regardless of country. The following rights apply to all users worldwide.
Right to know what we hold about you. You can ask PrintMatch at any time what information it holds about you. We will respond honestly and completely. Contact us on Discord @fireandspeed or email legendsgameclub@gmail.com.
Right to deletion. You have the right to ask us to delete any information we hold about you and we will action it promptly. Because PrintMatch does not collect personal data by default there is usually nothing to delete — but if you believe we hold something, ask and we will remove it.
Right to correction. If you believe any information we hold is inaccurate, you have the right to ask us to correct it.
Right to object. You have the right to object to how your data is used, including by third-party services like Google Analytics and Adsterra. See Sections 4 and 7 for opt-out options.
Right to data portability. You have the right to receive any data we hold about you in a readable format.
Right to withdraw consent. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Right to complain. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority in your country. We would prefer you contact us first so we can resolve it directly — but this right is yours regardless.
Right to non-discrimination. Exercising any of these rights will never result in you being treated differently or denied access to the site.
Right to transparency. You have the right to ask us anything about how PrintMatch works — what data is collected, who sees it, how long it is kept, what third-party services receive it, how the quiz algorithm scores printers, and why you received the recommendations you did. There are no stupid questions and nothing is off limits. We will always answer in plain, honest language — no legal jargon, no deflection. If we ever can't answer something, we will tell you why.
Right to ask about automated decisions. The PrintMatch quiz uses an algorithm to score and rank printers based on your answers. You have the right to ask exactly how that algorithm works, why a specific printer ranked where it did, and to request a human review of your results. A full breakdown of the algorithm is always available on the About page and in the How PrintMatch Works blog post.
Right to opt out of profiling. Google Analytics builds an anonymised profile of your visit. You have the right to opt out of this at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can also opt out of Adsterra personalised advertising via aboutads.info.
Right to data breach notification. In the unlikely event that any data PrintMatch holds or processes is involved in a security breach, we will notify affected users as quickly as possible via a notice on the site and, where possible, directly. We will always be transparent about what happened, what data was involved, and what steps were taken.
To exercise any right or ask any question: Discord @fireandspeed or email legendsgameclub@gmail.com. No question is too small. We will always respond within 30 days.
9. Your Rights — EU & UK (GDPR / UK GDPR)
EU and UK residents have additional legal protections under GDPR and UK GDPR. The legal basis for minimal processing (Google Analytics, Cloudflare) is Legitimate Interest. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority (e.g. the ICO in the UK) at any time.
10. Your Rights — United States (CCPA & State Laws)
California residents have rights under CCPA including the right to know, delete, opt out of sale, and non-discrimination. PrintMatch does not sell personal information. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and other US states with privacy laws have similar rights, all of which PrintMatch honours.
11. Your Rights — Canada (PIPEDA)
Canadian residents have rights under PIPEDA including the right to access and correct personal information. As PrintMatch collects no personal data by default, these rights are automatically satisfied.
12. Your Rights — Australia (Privacy Act 1988)
Australian residents have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles. PrintMatch holds no personal information about Australian users.
13. Your Rights — Brazil (LGPD)
Brazilian residents have rights under the LGPD including confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymisation, deletion, and information about third-party sharing. PrintMatch does not process personal data of Brazilian users beyond aggregated analytics.
14. International Users
PrintMatch is accessible worldwide. Regardless of where you are located, we apply the same privacy standards globally: no personal data collection by default, no data selling, no user profiling by PrintMatch itself. Where local law grants additional rights beyond those listed above, we honour them. Contact us via Discord if you have a region-specific request.
15. Children's Privacy
PrintMatch is intended for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where required by local law, such as in the EU). Because no personal data is collected by default, this is automatically upheld. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through the site, contact us via Discord and we will delete it promptly.
16. Data Security
PrintMatch does not store personal data. The quiz runs entirely in your browser — no answers are ever transmitted. Printer suggestion submissions contain no personal data and are deleted after manual review. Cloudflare provides infrastructure-level security for the site.
17. Third-Party Links
PrintMatch links to external retailers, manufacturers, and other websites. Once you leave PrintMatch, this privacy policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the site, services, or legal requirements. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the last update. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
19. Contact
For any privacy-related questions, requests, or concerns, contact us on Discord: @fireandspeed. We will respond as promptly as possible.
