FlashForge Creator 5

From $699

The cheapest 4-toolhead printer on the market, and it prints multi-color with zero purge waste. FlashForge cut cost in places that barely matter - manual filament loading, no RFID, no HEPA filter on base model - while keeping the core hardware, print quality, and open source Klipper firmware intact. Undercuts the Snapmaker U1 by $300.

How It Works

Three Steps. Zero Guesswork.

1

Answer Up to 13 Quick Questions

Budget, skill level, materials, must-haves - the quiz adapts based on what you pick, so you're never stuck answering questions that don't even apply to you.

2

Get Matched, Then Compare

See your top matches lined up side-by-side with the specs that actually matter - price, build volume, speed, materials, maintenance - not marketing copy.

3

Decide With Confidence

Walk away knowing you picked the printer that's genuinely right for you - not the one with the biggest marketing budget or the loudest sponsor check.

Why This Site Exists

No Pay-to-Rank. No Bias. No Exceptions.

The real reason I built PrintMatch is because it's so hard to find the right 3D printer, especially when you have to hope the person you're watching isn't sponsored. It's difficult to separate real recommendations from paid promotions.

If you search “best 3D printers for beginners,” you'll find countless top 10 lists and reviews. Some are good, but many either don't know what they're talking about, are sponsored, or simply don't consider your specific needs. That's what PrintMatch is meant to fix.

When I first started looking for a 3D printer, it took me six months - I'm not kidding - just to figure out which one was best for me. At the time, I didn't care that Bambu was a more locked-in ecosystem. What I cared about was having a printer that was easy to use. Later, when I bought my newest 3D printer, an Anycubic Kobra X, I realized I cared more about having a bit of freedom and customization (although it turns out I don't have as much freedom as I thought).

That's why on PrintMatch, nobody can pay for a higher ranking. No company can give benefits or sponsorships to move their printer to the top. The goal is simple: find the best printer for you.

One of the biggest problems I faced was not knowing who made honest reviews and who was being paid. It wasn't obvious. It felt like you had to be a detective on a mission just to figure out which recommendations you could trust.

Quick Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best 3D printer for beginners currently?

In my opinion, the Bambu ecosystem passes anything. The A1 and A1 mini are so good if you're starting out, but if you don’t mind a bit of annoyance, like models needing to be transferred to a different slicer or changing a few slicer settings the Elegoo CC and AnyCubic Kobra X are not as intuitive but are differently better printers.

I know a printer that you don’t have on your site. What should I do?

Well, if you have many printers that you want to suggest me add, you can contact me or use this new form. I am trying https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScJhJDIdIrlnH4NM8g3SLz7mNxXwmrQzk0IXPBLVNJ4gKxUmQ/viewform

Which company is the best?

There is no best company, every company has its pros and cons. Creality has many options, but not great quality. Bambu has an amazing ecosystem, but it's not very open-source friendly. You can learn more in a blog post coming very soon.

Do you get free printers?

No, I have yet, but I am open to it if they let me say what I want and don’t pay me or tell me to rank their printer higher than others.

How does PrintMatch make money?

PrintMatch makes money from a few sources that don't affect the outcome - Google AdSense ads, once approved, and affiliate links, which will be added soon. If anyone wants to support the site directly, donations are welcome too. None of this changes a printer's rating or where it lands in your quiz results.

How often do you post blogs?

To keep blogs high quality, I post once every 7 days to tell you my filament or printer reviews for new info in the 3D printing space or help you make a choice of what slicer I should use.

What if I want to contact you?

You can go to the contact us page and hit me up. I usually respond in about 24 hours. You can give feedback, ask for advice or anything really, it would be a pleasure to talk to you.
